Natick Pulls Away in 4th Quarter, 48-26
When the schedule for the Fall-2 season was announced, the Milton-Natick game was certainly one that everyone circled. The two best programs in the Bay State Conference who hadn’t faced each other in a couple of years since they were in separate divisions. Both teams had dismantled their opponents early in the season. There was a playoff-type atmosphere in Natick and the game certainly didn’t disappoint. But the Redhawks had a bit too much for the Wildcats and pulled away late for the 46-28 win, which was much closer than the final score indicated.

3/12/2021 - The unusual Fall 2 season got underway on a beautiful Friday afternoon in The Cage. And the Milton Wildcats looked like they were in mid-season form, with solid performances on offense, defense and special teams, leading to a 34-7 victory over Weymouth.
After Weymouth went 3 and out on their first possession the Wildcat offense took over at the 50 yard line and went on a balanced 10-play drive. Junior quarterback Chase Vaughn ran around the right side from 3 yards out for the TD and after the Sam Diani kick, Milton lead 7-0. Weymouth fumbled the ensuing kickoff, which gave Milton the ball on the 14-yard line. Five plays later senior captain Alex Perez busted in from the one-yard line to put Milton up 14-0.
After an exchange of turnovers, Weymouth came right back to score on a long 4th down pass to make it 14-7 early in the 2nd quarter. The Wildcats answered with a 59-yard drive all through the air highlighted by an 11-yard td pass from Vaughn to Andrew Lynch.
Weymouth then turned over the ball at their own 11 while trying to punt, but Milton couldn’t capitalize. On the next series, however, the Wildcats took advantage of great field position at the Weymouth 36-yard line with Vaughn hitting Malcolm Samuels with an 18-yard fade in the corner of the endzone to close out the first half scoring.
The Wildcats opened up the 2nd half with a 67-yard drive with Alex Perez powering it in from the 1-yard line for his 2nd touchdown of the game. Then the swarming Milton defense took over, not allowing Weymouth to get beyond the 50 yard for the remainder of the game.
